September 12, 2017

As crazy as it sounds, I got up at 5:00 a.m. to run five miles.  My knees had been feeling surprisingly great by bedtime and I decided to give it a try.  One mile into the run and I was regretting my decision.  I should have rested my legs a bit longer after my run on Saturday.  I contemplated turning back, but I soldiered on, deciding to get this one done now that I was up and at it, then I would rest later.  I actually warmed up and felt better by the end.  And besides my knees, my legs and body felt strong. I'm ready for this marathon!

I had a lovely day at home.  With my book playing in my ear on Audible ("Before We Were Yours") I've been incredibly productive.  I just keep working and listening and pretty soon the work is done.  In the afternoon, I took everyone to the orthodontist and then rushed home to drop off the boys so that Greg and I could go to Emma's volleyball game.  It is a highlight of my week.  I love to watch her play!

They pounded on Pine View and I mean POUNDED!!  Emma played so beautifully well.  She is such a good little player and our hearts swell to watch her be so successful at something she loves so much.  Greg decided to stay on and watch the varsity, so I came home, showered the boys, straightened up and got everyone into bed.  I should have gone to the grocery store today, but I never got out of the house in time.  I was thinking about that when I picked up Emma and Greg from the high school.  There were a few grumbles as everyone looked for snacks before bed, so I got them all settled and then drove to Harmon's.

It was kind of nice shopping in the quiet on the night.  I bought every possible thing they could all want for lunches and snacks.  Then I brought the load home and put it all away.

We are all busy and happy.  I am so grateful to be living this life.  I am so blessed.
My cute Kindergartner.  We were practicing smiles for school picture day and I got laughing so hard my sides were hurting.  He's so cute!
