My Name is Rindi: September 1, 2017

Today we watched our niece Jacquelyn Jacobsen get married to Jourdon Bean. My father-in-law, Garr, was the sealer and it was a beautiful ceremony. He did such an amazing job. The spirit was so strong in the San Diego Temple. The kids were waiting outside in the sweltering heat wave, but the day was beautiful and we are so excited for the new couple!

We stayed with Brent and Suzette this trip and they have been the most gracious hosts. We are so comfortable at their house. And the kids LOVE their dog, Maverick. After the wedding we swam in their pool and ate and relaxed.

That evening, across the street, we went to the reception. John and Cathy had really outdone themselves and the wedding reception was gorgeous!! Jacquelyn looked so pretty and the food was yummy and we had such a great time!

I finally took the boys back across the street and put them to bed. They all were quiet in the bed while I told stories until they fell asleep.

It has been a beautiful day with our family. One funny thing is that Emma and Julia were flower girls in white dresses. Cathy had made them the cutest crowns of leaves. But everyone kept mistaking Emma for Jacquelyn, the bride. It made Emma feel really happy because Jacquelyn is so beautiful! It was cute.

I loved all the reminders about family and marriage and the sacred union Greg and I are part of. I love Greg. I'm so grateful for the life we have together. It seems like yesterday that we were the ones getting married. But here we are, much older, with a load of kids to call our own.

I couldn't have planned it any better.
