The "Holy Rollers" came in the night again. This time the waves were bigger and our stress was higher! It lasted longer too. Finally, we decided to just trust our ropes and try to sleep. Greg couldn't relax, so he stayed up, watching over us all as we slept. Again the moon rose brighter than imaginable, coinciding with the Holy Rollers, and again, there was only a light breeze. Some of us believed our moon theories with a stronger conviction. :)
Again, the day dawned beautiful and bright. But the adults had a few more gray hairs and it took longer to shake off the stress of the night!
We had such a wonderful day! Stalee made French Dip for lunch and grilled chicken for dinner. We have been eating like kings. The kids are loving the candy and treats and cold soda pop. The kayaks are such a hit, as is the water slide, the warm water of the lake, and the tube rides. Stalee and I took the kids out on the tube for a couple of hours while the guys rested. It became our afternoon tradition. And oh what fun we had!!
That night, we all climbed up onto the top at bedtime, tired and nervous for another night of the Holy Rollers. I told stories to the kids for a long time, which seemed to keep them all really interested, and then we all just talked and laughed until the stars were up. It was so beautiful and peaceful when we all finally dozed off.
