Today was such a wild day. I had quite a bit going on. But my favorite part was that our family went across the street for Family Home Evening and put Christmas lights in the yard of our neighbors. Our neighbor is very sick with cancer. Sister Asay came out and hugged us. We had a couple other neighbors out there helping, too. It was pretty cold and very dark, but my kids worked hard. Miles has said a bunch of times since we finished how much he loved doing that. It all just warmed my heart.

The good news is that we cut up all that fudge we made yesterday and took it to a neighborhood Mingle and Jingle. And it was a hit! Miles said it was addicting. He ate a ton of it himself. :)
Before we all went to sleep, we sat around my bedroom and watched the next video for the Light The World countdown. Today was Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself. And tomorrow is Honor Thy Father and Mother. The kids are really into it. I love how much little kids can feel and recognize the Holy Ghost. They know how good it feels to serve others. It is the best way to forget yourself and your own problems. I'm so thankful we got to do just that tonight. We were a happy bunch of people as we climbed into bed to sleep.
