October 10, 2017

Today I got all the deep cleaning done quickly, thanks to my efforts yesterday.  I showered and took the little boys to eat lunch with Greg.  We had a great time eating our Chic-fil-A in the shade across from the Temple.  Greg and I visited for a few minutes before he needed to head back into work.  Then I quickly took Owen to Kindergarten and brought Lance home.

I picked Miles up from school, delivered Emma's clean volleyball uniform to school, then took Miles to look for some new jeans.  We were unsuccessful, but we had a good time together.  Miles is so much fun to talk to after school.  He usually gives me a play-by-play of his whole day.  I love it!

By the time we got home with the little boys from elementary school, Greg was home waiting for me.  We both LOVE going to Emma's volleyball games.  They are a highlight of our week.  Emma's team won against Snow Canyon, and Emma had a fantastic game.  At one point she served ten points in a row.  She is so amazing, and I love watching her.

Julia, bless her heart, stayed home and made dinner (grilled ham and cheese and Ramen noodle soup) and tended the boys.  Everything was in perfect order when I came home at the end of the night.  Now I had every reason to be proud of Julia!

Tonight Julia and I went to a seminary kick-off to get the eighth graders ready to register for seminary next year.  We had the privilege of participating in and listening to a great lesson on the Tree of Life.  I learned a lot and felt my spirit strengthened.  I'm so thankful my kids get to attend seminary.  What blessing!

I came home after seminary to get the boys into bed while Greg stayed at the varsity game with Emma.  We both love watching so much that we usually have to jockey a little for positioning.  Who gets to go home and do bedtime!?!?  And who gets to stay and watch varsity?!?  I imagine if our boys are still doing sports when we don't have little kids at home, we will spend hours at the gym together. It sounds so dreamy!
