Another beautiful day of General Conference.

Emma played around with my hair, which was so lovely!!  I love that.  We just listened and colored and ate snacks and everyone was so good.

Elder Hales died between the Sunday sessions.  It was sad, but what a great servant of the Lord.  Also, President Monson wasn't at conference.  He is just too old.  That's super sad, too.  Even though he was not there, his counsel to us about reading the Book of Mormon still echoed through the conference as several people referenced it and encouraged us to follow through.  I feel really inspired to do better.

I also felt inspired by Sister Oscarson's talk about service.  Humanitarian aid is great, and much needed, but we also need to serve those right across the street from us.  That really hit home to me.

Another thought from conference:  Life is hard.  But hard is good.  That was such a great message.  "Hard" times make us stronger.  We were meant to experience hard things.

And like always, I want to study my scriptures more, attend the temple more, and just keep getting better.  It was a beautiful day!

Greg grilled some yummy fish for dinner and we tried to eat outside, but the flies were a little much tonight.  So we quickly moved back inside.  The weather has been so beautiful and the kids have played outside for hours.  Life is so precious and beautiful and I'm so thankful for it.
