November 7, 2017

Another day, another two grocery carts at Walmart.  And I put my first freezer dinner into the crockpot.

Today I took Julia back for another tryout with the older girls.  She was still one of the best players.  It was so fun to watch her.  She told me that she was trying her very hardest.  That's really what counts!  I was amazed by her jump serves, her hits, and her setting!  She did such a great job.  Just when her tryout was ending, Emma came into the gym for the 16s tryout.  Emma was excited and a little nervous, too.  We just didn't know how everything would play out.  I left Emma there and rushed Julia to her basketball practice on the other side of town.

In the meantime, Greg was home trying out the Carne Asada Street Tacos I had going in the crockpot.  I was very disappointed to hear that he wasn't overly impressed.  And when I got home, I wasn't that impressed, either.  Darn.

Finally both girls came home.  And we did homework, showers, prayers, and bedtime stories.  The girls and I sat at the table talking all about the volleyball tryouts while they ate a second dinner.  And then I kissed them goodnight and called it a day.  It was definitely a great one!
