We had a relaxing Saturday. Greg fiddled around in his workshop. The girls and I played the piano together. The boys played with Owen's laser tag guns outside for hours! We left the windows open and let everyone play and have fun. We ate a late breakfast, and therefore, a late lunch.
And finally, in the late afternoon, Greg and I took Julia to her basketball game. The other team forfeited. So that was a bummer. But we brought her back in the evening for another one. It was against boys. I don't love that she plays in a boys' league, but it's hard to find enough competition for the girls! They beat the boys pretty solidly. So that made me feel even worse about it. They have the girls play down a level, and these girls are tall and good! So they end up winning a lot! It is so hard on the boys. I wish the girls played at their own level against the boys and lost most of the time. It would be great experience for the girls, and the boys could still hold their heads high. Ha ha!

Greg and Julia really wanted to pick up Honolulu Grill on the way home, so we did. It was fun to sit around as a family and eat our Hawaiian food. By now, it is dark at dinner time! That feels so strange, but it also feels cozy. So it was easy to have everyone shower and climb into bed to read. I felt a little bit giddy inside to think it was a Saturday night, and we were all tucked in by 9:00. That is so rare. And it was so needed.
