We could hardly get out of bed this morning. I vaguely heard some kitchen noises early on, but I just rolled over and went back to sleep. By the time we opened our bleary eyes, Greg's family had already packed up and left. It was the first time this year that I've been glad we have 2:30 church. We all just laid around for the better part of the morning. My body was letting me know that I've been sick, and I had a massive headache.
But pretty soon, we were all up and showered and ready for church. Austin sat on the stand to start the meeting. The Bishop called him up to the stand and recognized him for his baptism. He had the hugest smile on his face, and he looked as handsome as he could be. I was a super happy mama. And speaking of handsome, Lance looked so cute in his little vest and tie. I had given the boys haircuts earlier in the week, and they were all just melting my heart. Especially Lance with his haircut and his church clothes. He was adorable.
After church, we ate leftover sub sandwiches and chips, and then put on our pajamas and relaxed together. Greg and the girls made chocolate chip cookies. The whole evening had a feeling of comfort and relaxation. We needed that. Everyone got to bed pretty early, even our night-owl Lance. He had skipped his nap for the day, so he was ready for an early night. It felt great to climb into our big bed and call it a day. And call it a weekend. Our life is so full. But it's full of love and happiness and family. It's a great life.
