Emma's track performance was so fantastic to hear about!  Greg's parents were there and called us to tell us all about it.  Dylan Jacobsen also went with them (he's a BYU student), and sent us a video of it.  Greg and I both cried tears of joy--we were so proud of our Emma.

Here's Emma, walking out with her team!
Emma did so great at the BYU invitational track meet! Out of 124 teams (3A-5A), Desert Hills girls team won the meet! Emma's little relay team with 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore took 13th!! She had the fastest split time on her team and she started her leg in fifth place and ended in first place. The girl who ran the last leg got passed at the last second so they took second in their heat. There were six heats of nine teams each. Everyone said Emma did awesome! Her team shaved nine seconds off their time. 😊 She's just a ninth grader making a statement in high school varsity. And she qualified for the state tournament!
The 4x400 Desert Hills Relay Team

All 15 year old, running for varsity
