May 5, 2017

With Emma gone to BYU, Julia went with my Mom and Dad to the Polynesian dance Luau to watch Avree and Eliese perform.  Then they had a sleepover.  Greg and I were home with the boys.  Miles was craving Taco Bell for Cinco de Mayo, so they went and got Taco Bell and Cafe Rio.  Lance and Owen both were in bed by the time they got back. Austin was just getting home from baseball practice.  The four of us ate and then played Rummikub together.  It was so fun.  By now, the rest of the house had gotten dark as we were playing together on the family room floor.  All of a sudden, a walkie-talkie started talking from somewhere in the house.  The boys had been playing with them earlier and had left one on.  It caught a signal from someone and started making noises.  It spooked us all, but especially Miles.  It was pretty funny. We marveled at the feeling of only having two kids around.  As we laughed, I told the boys that if we'd only had two kids, it wouldn't have been them.  Then they were glad we had a bigger family.  But I was happy to spend a fun Cinco de Mayo home with my little boys.
