April 28, 2017

The girls and I got to go to Salt Lake for their volleyball tournament.  I wore shorts and flip flops and it snowed like crazy on the way!

Snow!
Greg and I have had to take turns going because we both love it so much.  I remember in years previous looking over at the other moms.  They were usually there alone, sometimes with their husband, and they would be set up all cozy in their camp chair.  They would have snacks and a book to read or a knitting project to work on.  They would cheer for their daughter and relax when they weren't playing.   I was usually juggling a baby, sometimes all of my kids, and it wasn't always relaxing.  And sleeping in the hotel with everyone was a nightmare. Now I'm that mom.  I get to sit in my chair and cheer and enjoy every second of my girls.  We have fun getting dinner together when they are done, and we love going back to our room to watch a show and eat our food.  The girls shower while I lay in bed and read a little, then we turn out the lights and talk until we fall asleep.  I love watching them play.  I am so proud of every little thing they do.  It is enormously fun to be a mom.  :)

Julia's on the left with the white knee pads.  Emma is front and center.  SO fun!!

This was their last tournament for the season.
