Cathy wanted me to wake up and go running with her this morning since she had stayed the night at our house. But I was so tired I just couldn't face it and I slept right through it.
I did get up and make pancakes for everyone. Lance is eating so much better lately. It is taking quite a bit of effort, but I'm so relieved.
We decided to really clean hard today--spring cleaning the big kids rooms and bathrooms. It feels good to think that we are settling down into more of a routine. Although, I hate that school and the crazy schedule it brings is right around the corner.
Julia got invited to go with some friends to Fiesta Fun in the afternoon and Emma had her sports physical to go to, so we took Lance and left Miles, Austin and Owen home.
Emma and I were able to sneak away after her physical to do some shopping. We decided to redo the boys bathroom since it was still decorated in blue and yellow flowers--leftover from our days in Pennsylvania. We went to our favorite store: TJ Maxx. We found some really cute beachy-blue striped towels and accessories. We bought some cute frames and hung some pictures of the boys at the beach and the lake. It turned out really great and Emma and I had a great time. Lance, on the other hand, wasn't so thrilled to shop with us. Ha!
Garr and Lill showed up at dinnertime so I made some chicken and vegetables and homemade corn muffins for dinner. We all had a great time visiting, but I put the kids to bed and left Greg to spend some quiet time with his parents. My group is going running in the morning...but I'm not sure I can face it. I'm so tired and my back is so bad!!
